My journey into the world of digital design began with a simple fascination: the power to shape ideas through graphic elements on a screen. This early spark ignited a passion for creative freedom that led me to a Bachelor's in Graphic Design and, ultimately, a 14+ year adventure across the design landscape. From the dynamic pace of agencies to the focused environments of in-house teams and the diverse needs of clients ranging from startups to global corporations, I've honed a versatile skillset. While my experience spans various disciplines, my true strengths lie in leadership, creative vision, and strategic thinking – always driven by the conviction that digital design is far more than just visual appeal; it's about understanding the bigger picture and delivering results that truly resonate. (And on occasion, ensuring my puppy, Porteè, doesn't steal the show during virtual meetings with his unexpected cameo appearances!)
Today, as a Senior Product Designer at Compare the Market (yes, the home of the meerkats!), I have the privilege of mentoring a talented team of three. My role is multifaceted: ensuring our designs are creatively best-in-class within the brand, while also being deeply engaged with stakeholders, shaping briefs, and aligning expectations. Ultimately, I strive to add significant value through thoughtful and impactful design, while empowering my team and collaborators along the way – all while occasionally navigating the adorable disruptions of a curious puppy.
Areas where i can
Usable and production ready designs. This is kind of my design super power. It's something I'm prideful for and am extremely passionate about.
Document and diagram journeys and workflows. Sometimes the obvious path isn't the greatest. Love finding journeys the user didn't know they wanted.
Mentor and guide junior designers within a team. I think I have a lot of knowledge to share and helping fellow designers level up truly warms my heart.
Manage and maintain a design system. I love documenting and creating reusable components to ensure consistency and standardization.
Present work directly to leaders and stakeholders.. Proper storytelling and articulating a body of design has helped me get the green light on several projects.
Explore and help you imagine what's possible. Speedy ideation and prototyping is how I've been able to quickly bring ideas to life in a cost efficient way.
